CELEBRITY ANALYSIS

EXTRA!! EXTRA!! READ ALL ABOUT IT!! THE OUTRAGEOUS CELEBRITY!!!
adapted from Kelly A. Cavanaugh

Imagine you are a journalist using "contemporary psychology" as well as the "roots of psychology" to analyze a celebrity or realistic character. In your analysis you should include 5/7 modern approaches and at refer to at least TWO earlier philosophers/psychologists. When writing your blurb/article, make sure to DEFINE TERMS and APPLY them to your person. Originality and thoughtfulness +++

E.g. - Freud, who believes all people are driven by sex/unconscious/primal drives, would say that P. Diddy's inappropriate tweets are just a reflection of his "ID".

Instructions (Scroll down for more details)
1. Describe celebrity or cartoon character (Frozen) or historical figure (Thomas Jefferson) or genuine hero
2. Define FIVE of SEVEN modern approaches -this googledoc can help with definitions if you are struggling ----> LINK
(Behavioral, Neurobiological, Cognitive, Humanist, Sociocultural, Evolutionary, Psychoanalytic)
3. Apply at least TWO connections to early philosophers or structuralism or functionalism
4. Use the biopsychosocial approach to discuss a classmate's celebrity. Be sure to name, define, and at least 1 specific example for each part -what could HELP them be mentally healthy and/or what is preventing this person from achieving wellness?
