MAKING FILM POSTERS: LET'S GO TO THE MOVIES!!!!!!!!!

Every movie has an iconic or memorable image that helps to promote the actors and films' theme. Maybe every social psychology experiment needs its own poster too!
Here's one from the second Shrek or Twilight Zone

SYMBALOO TOOLS for this project *2012*
In first block, we did not sign up for accounts and this created an issue with posting. We had to paste the posters in googledoc

In 2010-2011 I used GLOGSTER for this project (see below instructions --------- ).

In 2011-2012, I had students make paper/glue posters

Be sure to include:
1) A creative film TITLE that incorporates the major message of study - for example, Solomon Asch presents "The Followers!" (experiment on conformity) or Leon Festinger's debut "Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire!" (experiments with cognitive dissonance)
2) Tag line or byline that reveals results of study or what people should take-away from film - for example: "Avoid diffusion of responsibility and know the power is in your hands" - Milgram (this should include a vocabulary word)
3) The stars/producers or researchers' names/psychologists (this can go under production);
Actors/leading roles - one could also include LEADING ACTORS (IV) and ASSISTING ROLES (DV)
4) Film comments and criticisms using as many vocabulary as possible; you might even apply the variables in the study - for example, "Lying to yourself never felt sooo gooooood -Festinger's Cognitive Dissonance Theory" - from the Hypocritical Tribune :0 hahahaha
5) Picture(s) Can be a drawn image (which can be scanned in black and white) or googled.image(s); this visual should portray at least one aspect of the study's findings and/or method
6) Premiere date or the primary date of study - can phrase as "Now Showing, Summer 1967" or "Coming this Fall, 1996"
7) Extra - you can RATE the movie based on violence and/or APA ethical violations!! ZIMBARDO IS RATED R!!

Thanks to Kelsey Halfen for the idea and project details.

And here is a list of what her students did for Milgram
Creative Title - The Shocking Truth
Tag line - The power is in your hands
Stars (Psychologists)- Staring Stanley Milgram
3 “reviews” - "An inside view of how cruel humans are capable of being"
Picture(s) - They drew a male figure with the face cut out of the poster so anyone could put their face in there.
Premiere date - Coming Spring 1963
